first weeks back home
Sorry for the delay in blogs, it has been a few weeks now since getting home from Toledo Ohio. DR. Grubb prescribed me a new medication for my dystonia. I have been taking it for two weeks now. I started these meds with the mindset that they could work but that they might not work also. I tried to not get my hopes up with this medication. Turns out that this medication is what i have been waiting for since i first became unwell. The last week i finally feel well and feel like i could do things without the repercussions of having a dystonic episode every time im on my feet for long periods of time. The first week of the new meds, the side effect of drowsiness was very annoying and i was not sure if the drowsiness was going to go away. luckily im not noticing the drowsiness now. So overall i would chop up this crazy long drive to Toledo to see my specialist as a successful trip that was well worth it. My hopes are for this medication to continue to work and make my life have not so big of a bump in the road at times. I will honestly say i lost sight of the fact that i could do anything i set my mind to, i let my illness get the best the best of me. Im slowly learning that life is hard and it just might take me a little more effort and time to do things but i should not use that as a reason to not give it my all.
A huge thanks to everyone who continues to follow my blog, its amazing knowing that i have people cheering me on and praying for the best. hope everyone is well, God Bless.
