A "normal" problem

My past experiences, having my illness waved off as nothing by a medical professional all because they have not heard of it. The second i walked(ish) into in the emergency room, i was prepared to be questioned as to why i was there and asked to explain my illness. I have postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, yet not all my health problems are a result of it. Query eyed reflection as once again i speak of a miss-understood rarely know illness that is part of who i am. Bruises once again map the veins on my arms as a price hangs on something as simple as an intravenous line (IV). Hydration therapy and nausea medication are a familiarity with my illness, resulting in over poked veins that do not want to get poked again! There are countless answers amidst the medical discoveries written in books, yet i discover questions marks i lose myself in searching for their answers. A lifetime for me to find the answers, and a few hurdles and a handful of challenges along the way that make up my story. I sit on a hospital bed and pray that you listen to what i have to say and the illness that you just heard for the first time, i pray does not make you pre judge me.

An invisible illness that is rarely known makes for stressful emergency visits. I may have a complicated illness but turns out i have a pretty normal problem, gallstones....
