its all okay

If  you were to tell me a month ago that life would not seem like such an uphill battle and my chronic illness could actually be manageable enough to have the independence to consider getting a job . i would of told you that you are being too optimistic. i know its important when facing an illness to be optimistic and positive but i always tried to not "expect" anything. that maybe is not the right way to think but it turned out to work for me. i look at everyday as anything can happen and don't expect bad or good. i read a book about a lady with a chronic illness and she turned to Buddhism to help her get through the many ups and down with her health. i found this unique perspective and view on how to deal in situations interesting. she mentioned approaching every situation with the same outlook, that its great if it works out and its great if it does not. i really thought about that and i put it to the test. i started my new medication with the mindset of " its okay if it works and its okay if does not work" i'm glad i thought this because i was thankful that the outcome no matter what it was, was going to be an outcome i was prepared to accept. there is no "how to" on living with a chronic illness but im always learning new ways to get through every bump in the road. i still have alot ahead of me but no matter what its going to be okay.
hope everyone is doing well. God Bless
