Update !
well its been awhile since i wrote last so lets catch up.
I am getting regular IV treatments of plain old saline about every 2 weeks (give or take). I do admit it can be tough on the mind having to go to the hospital so often and sit there for 3 hours but you kinda just suck it up. The nurses know me pree well now so that makes sitting there less boring. still meet people with interesting stories, always humbling to me.
One thing for sure, life never fails to throw you a curve ball. Over Christmas i was faced with my first high stress, high emotion event since being diagnosed with P.OT.S and i didn't realize how much it would effect me symptom wise. My body was totally thrown off and ended up going for multiples IV's in a weeks time. Its almost been a month now and i feel like im getting back on track.
Its crazy to me that when your whole body doesn't feel good that days can just pass by you and weeks seem to melt together. The last about 2 weeks i have been feeling so weak and tired. This is not my norm and i really am not sure whats up. My mind and body are so tired feeling that i'm not talking to friends very much, and occasionally going out to run an errand just to get out. The thing with a chronic illness is its so easy to feel isolated and i make a point to text, call or hangout with friends as much as i can so that isolated feeling stays away. but i admit this week its creeping up on me. Making friends and keeping friends with a chronic illness that effects you so much can be hard and disappointing but that is not an excuse to not try and put yourself out there. I made the mistake of not trying but learned in time that you just have to find people who embrace that fact that you are different (unique). and dont use your energy on the ones that are not cool with the whole illness thing. (yes, someone said that to me before). but i dont have time for that shit anymore ! :) There are great people i have met and they really make up for the friends that didnt work out. one thing i can say is i truly enjoy being different, would have it any other way.
Hope all is well with you all, God Bless
